WHO CAN POST ON THIS CALENDAR?
Crossroads Events for Nonprofits is a free resource for registered nonprofit organizations hosting large public events within 65 miles of the Victoria County Courthouse of Victoria, Texas.
DISCLAIMER: We do not claim that the organization accurately submitted event details, and we are not here to promote or discourage events. If the organization is a registered non-profit in the State of Texas, it is welcome to submit its large public yearly events here. No matter the ethnicity, religious preference, political affiliation, etc.
You qualify if you are a registered nonprofit
Registered 501(c)(3) organizations, churches and schools with tax-exempt status in the State of Texas are welcome. Individuals and informal groups are not. A personal fundraiser — a benefit for a family’s medical or funeral expenses, however worthy — belongs somewhere else. This calendar exists so established organizations can get their big public events in front of the whole community, and so two of them stop scheduling their biggest night of the year against each other. The first time you submit an event we confirm your organization is real, registered and local. After that, you’re on our verified list and future events go up without the extra step.
Political parties are welcome — every party, on the same terms. If the party organization is registered and tax-exempt in Texas and the event is a big, public, once-a-year occasion, it belongs here. Candidate campaigns and PACs are not eligible, no matter the party. A listing is never an endorsement — we are not here to promote or discourage anyone’s event.
Your event has to be a big one
This calendar is for your annual gala, your festival, your fundraiser, your community-wide drive. It is not for your weekly schedule or your regular meetings. If you’d invite the whole town, it belongs here.
An event is a good fit when all four of these are true:
- It is open to the general public, not to members, congregation or invited guests only.
- It is a one-time occasion with a date, not a standing activity or an open-ended drive.
- It happens once a year at most.
- You would promote it beyond your own mailing list.
A benefit concert for the symphony is a great fit. A Sunday morning coffee hour is not. For churches specifically, community events are welcome — the fall festival, trunk-or-treat, a free community meal, a clothing giveaway. Worship services, Bible studies, youth group and anything on the regular weekly schedule are not published.
Your event has to be near Victoria
We cover everything within 65 miles of the Victoria County Courthouse. That is 72 cities and communities:

If your city is not on this list, your event falls outside our area and we will not be able to publish it.
What happens after you submit
- You will get an email asking you to confirm your address. Nothing publishes until you click it.
- We check that your organization is a real nonprofit in our area.
- If your event fits, it goes on the calendar and stays there — past events are never deleted, so you can look back at what the community did last year.
- If it is not a fit, we will tell you why.
